Well, I have tried to fuse in characters from different stories that i have read with a touch of science fiction. Hope you all like it.

It was Sep 19, 2010. Our institute had issued 4 days of holidays on the account of the birthday of Sir Arthur Spiderwick. Hence, there I was wasting my time in the dormitory playing Snargaam when i could have achieved miraculous results in the laboratory. Just then my BFF telepathisised me a thought stating that all my other friends too had holidays and that they had planned for an all-girls reunion in the Andromeda bar located in the Kruger galaxy. Wait! I havent introduced myself. My name is Hermione Granger.Aged 23, I work for the Universal Institute of Theoretical Magic (UITM) as the Head Researcher.I was shocked. Attending the reunion would mean, 10 hours of time spent futile. But then tears poured down my eyes when i thought about how long it had been since I had met them all, exactly 5 years. We had kept touch with each other only through telepathy (the latest fastest means of communication, faster than owls). So I telepathisised her back that I would be glad to attend.
So on 20th Sep, 2010 I left the UITM headquarters and traveled on my private PartWave (light-speed vehicle) to galaxy Kruger, 30 light years away from UITM headquarters. I had, maybe travelled only 10 light years when my PartWave ran out of hydrogen. I knew this would delay me. I immediately telepathisised the HIF (Hydrogen Is Forever), who also provided "wherever-you-wish" delivery services, my exact galactic coordinates and the quantity (30 gallons). My wait began. I regretted for not having carried my Time-Turner else, I would have gone back and ensured that I had re-fuelled my vehicle. Seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned into an hour. Finally after an hour, the delivery boy reached me. He told me what had caused the delay, all the thoughts had collided with each other due to the creation on an illegal worm-hole and that Telepathy and Thought Management officials took nearly 45 minutes to separate out each thought and send them to their respective destinations. But I was glad that he was finally there. Finally, I reached the galaxy and the bar in about two and an half hours but was sad to see all my other friends present there already. Punctuality was of prime importance to me. I had just stepped out of my PartWave when all my friends, 10 of them came running towards me and hugged me. There was Sofya (my BFF), Ginny, Spidergirl, Wonderwoman, Catwoman, Jean, Yuki, Rapunzel, Kisaragi and Rogue. I felt like I was on cloud nine.
Quick introduction of all my friends. Ginny worked for the Wizards and Witches for Space Defense; Spidergirl, Wonderwoman and Catwoman worked for the Universal Planetary League; Jean and Yuki for the Universal Worm-holes Management; Rapunzel for Galactic Court for Fairies; Kisaragi and Rogue worked for Universal Protocols Management. They were all also well-off like me and hence each possessed a private PartWave.
We quickly entered the Andromeda bar and occupied the largest table available there. All of us shared the same choices in matter of food (one major uniting factor) and each one of us ordered the same thing, one large cup of pumpkin juice, one pizza with extra grease and ash topping, one zombie soup and extra large fresh crawler sandwich. Then it started - the chatting. We spoke and spoke for time which seemed like eternity and yet there was so much more left to talk. We looked at the time, 12 hours had passed since our arrival and the food left untouched (unnoticed among all the talking). We apologized to the the owner ogre and finally managed to get us all a new set of hot and fresh food. We, literally attacked the food. All that talking had drained us of our energy. The bill amount was pretty small, $30,000,000; so I decided to take on the expenses and told my friends to accept it as my treat for making it into UITM. We all left the bar satisfied, for the food and the talk.
Then the sad part - the return. We all decided to have a reunion atleast once in a year and that we would all telepathisise each other atleast 100 times a day. We all got into our PartWaves and returned to our respective destinations.
It was an unforgettable day in my life - the day we had all re-met - the reunion!!

ReplyDeleteits nice... everything seems to have been invented in ur world !! ;)
ReplyDeleteHere comes the fan,
ReplyDelete1. Holy cow, thats an amazing story with a lot of imagination & creativity. Truly awesome. You have a very good future in writing.
2. Very good grammar indeed.
3. Bowing down to your intellect of creating names.
4. Extremely liked the networking delay in telepathy.
Here comes the critic,
1. Tears poured down ! - too sentimental
2. $30,00.. Still dollars ? Maybe you could have created a new currency there :) Millions - annoys the current reader to see such a big amount mentioned as pretty small.
